KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology (KPRIET), Coimbatore, and QSafe Limited, UK, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 30 September 2026 to promote academic–industry collaboration, research, innovation, and professional development.
The MoU focuses on the following key areas:
Project Work and Internships: Providing students with opportunities to undertake live projects, internships, and field studies to enhance practical knowledge and industry readiness.
Research and Development: Promoting joint research, software testing, consultancy services, and knowledge sharing by utilizing the expertise and resources of both institutions.
Entrepreneurship and Innovation: Supporting start-ups through incubation and acceleration programmes, mentorship, networking, and access to resources.
Training and Skill Development: Organizing training programmes for students and faculty, along with executive development programmes tailored to industry requirements.
Career Opportunities: Giving priority to KPRIET graduates for Graduate Trainee and Management Trainee recruitment, based on QSafe Limited's requirements.
Resource Sharing: Facilitating the mutual use of library, laboratory, and other institutional facilities.
The MoU also establishes a steering committee to coordinate and monitor collaborative activities, with provisions for confidentiality, intellectual property rights, and mutual agreement on financial commitments. It is initially valid for one year, with renewal possible by mutual agreement.
Overall, this MoU aims to strengthen academia–industry partnerships, enhance student employability, promote cybersecurity-related research and innovation, and create opportunities for entrepreneurship and professional growth.
