The Institution of Engineers (India) IEI has been recognized as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by the Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India. Besides conducting research, it provides Grant-in-Aid to Engineering Institutes & Universities students. IEI issues membership certification to eligible engineers, technologists and scientists. This Institution also issues Professional Engineer certifications in various engineering disciplines. The State / Local Centre of IEI, spread across the country, organize technical activities and provide a platform for stakeholders, technocrats, policymakers and others to share their expertise to benefit the engineering fraternity. The IEI also offers a range of programs and resources specifically designed for engineering students. These include scholarships, competitions, workshops, and training programs that aim to support students in their academic and professional development. Overall, the Institution of Engineers (India) plays an essential role in promoting and supporting engineering education in India. CSE Department and IEI inaugurate the IEI Students Chapter at KPRIET on 31st March 2023. Dr N.Yuvaraj, HOD/CSE, welcomed the Chief Guest and gatherings. Dr S Shanmugam, the Chairman of IEI Coimbatore Local Centre, has inaugurated the student chapter and issued the IEI Student Chapter Certificate. Followed by the office bearers were introduced by Mr D. Premkumar (AP (Sr.G)/CSE). As an end, Ms M. Janani (AP/CSE) delivered a vote of thanks. IEI issues membership certification only to eligible engineers, and CSE inaugurates the IEI Students Chapter. The department thanks our beloved Principal, Dr Akila Muthuramalingam, for the opportunity.
