ICMR sponsored two days workshop was conducted on 10th and 11th of March 2023 at Veena Hall on the topic of “Clinical Training/Translational Research on Integrated Care Model for Mental and Neurological Disorders”. Totally 70 participants including 48 external participants and 22 internal participants were benecfitted by the workshop. Participants are researchers, faculty memebers and students from, Engineering College, Arts and Science College, Nursing College and Polytechnic also. Sessions were handled by the experts from academic and medical research centres from various states including, Tamilnadu, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh. The two days workshop was inaugurated by Dr.M.Sabarimalai Manikandan, Associate Professor, Department of Electrical
Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Palakkad and he delivered a talk on the topic of Current trends and research in Clinical Training and Translational Research. After that Dr. K. Balabaskar, Lecturer in Adult Independent Living (DAIL), Vigilance officer (CVC), National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities (Divyangjan) (Dept.of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities(Divyangjan), Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India) delicvered a session on the topic Clinical/Translational Research on “Integrated Care Model for Mental and Neurological Disorders. Sri. Suresh K S, Head of Department,Research & Development from Centre for Development of Imaging Technology, C-DIT, Government of Kerala presented a talk on Need for more value-based and patient-centred care. The second day session start with the talk of the Doctor S.Mohanakannan MD.DM (Neuro) from PSG Hospitals and Research Institute with a hands on session about EEG signal recording and analysis. Feedback from participants ensured that the workshop was very much useful for their research works.
