QUIZ SERIES ON PHYSICS, KPR Institute Engineering and Technology, Autonomous Engineering Institution, Coimbatore, India

A national level quiz competition entitled "Quiz series on Physics" was conducted by the Department of Physics, KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology on 30-01-2023. Prof. S. Ananth was the convenor for this quiz series on physics. Dr. R. Subramaniyan @ Raja was the coordinator for this quiz series on physics. The event was organized in association with ISTE Student Chapter – KPRIET. The quiz was conducted online via google forms. The link was opened at 12.00 AM on 30-01-2023. The link was disabled at 11.59 PM on 30-01-2023. There were twenty five quiz questions. The quiz questions were from various branches of physics such as nuclear physics, thermal physics, energy physics, electromagnetic waves, electricity, magnetism, thermodynamics, optics, laser, solar, space and astro physics. Each question carries one marks. The quiz marks were declared immediately. E-certificates were provided for the participants those who scored above 50% in this quiz contest. There was no negative marking. About 1351 participants from different colleges of different states participated in it. The participants who scored above 50% in this quiz contest were 1128. The internal participants are 412 and external participants are 939. Among 412 internal participants, the total number of faculties are 2. The internal student participant count is 410. There are 5 total external faculty participants. The external student count is 934. The external participant percentage is 69. This quiz contest will be a benefit for all aspiring school and college students and participants those who are really interested in physics. Overall the quiz competition was a huge success.
