The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security), KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, organized a one-day workshop on “Computer Hardware & Network Troubleshooting” on 29 September 2026 from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM at II SC Lecture Hall, Mythreyi Block.
The workshop was conducted by Dr. G. Kanagaraj, Associate Professor, Department of CSE (Cyber Security). The event was coordinated by Ms. A. Indhuja, Assistant Professor, Department of CSE (Cyber Security).
The workshop aimed to provide participants with practical knowledge of:
Troubleshooting common Windows login and password-related issues.
Diagnosing and recovering from operating-system crashes while protecting user files.
Improving laptop performance through RAM and SSD upgrades.
Identifying and resolving common Wi-Fi and network connectivity problems.
Automating repetitive computer-related tasks using batch scripts.
The workshop provided participants with practical exposure to fundamental computer hardware, operating-system, networking, and troubleshooting techniques. Participants gained an understanding of systematic approaches to diagnosing common computer problems and learned practical methods for improving system performance and resolving connectivity issues.
The session also introduced participants to basic automation using batch scripts, helping them understand how repetitive tasks can be simplified through scripting. Overall, the workshop strengthened participants’ hands-on awareness of computer maintenance and network troubleshooting practices relevant to academic and professional environments.
The workshop successfully addressed essential aspects of computer hardware maintenance and network troubleshooting, combining technical concepts with practical problem-solving approaches. The knowledge gained from the session can help participants handle common computer and network issues more systematically and efficiently.
