The event was coordinated by Ms. Harshini A, Executive Member and Student Coordinator, with the support of the IEEE EMBS Society members. The quiz received 111 registrations, out of which 59 participants actively took part in the event.
The quiz consisted of multiple-choice questions covering various aspects of organ donation and transplantation. The questions focused on the importance of organ donation, organs and tissues that can be donated, the donation and transplantation process, eligibility, myths and misconceptions, and the role of organ donation in saving and improving lives. The quiz was designed to test participants' existing knowledge while also providing them with valuable information about organ donation.
The online format allowed students to participate conveniently from different locations and encouraged wider involvement. The quiz combined health awareness with interactive learning, making the event both informative and engaging. Participants were encouraged to explore the importance of becoming informed about organ donation and spreading awareness among their peers and communities.
The event also highlighted the significance of World Organ Donation Day in promoting a culture of voluntary organ donation. Through the quiz, students gained a better understanding of how organ donation can provide a second chance at life for individuals suffering from severe organ failure and why awareness is essential for increasing the number of potential donors.
The event concluded successfully after the one-hour quiz session.
To recognize the efforts of all participants, e-certificates were awarded to everyone who took part in the quiz. In addition, the top performers were honoured with special recognition for their outstanding performance:

Overall, the Online Quiz Contest on World Organ Donation Day served as an effective awareness initiative that combined learning and healthy competition. The active participation of59 students and the support of the IEEE EMBS Society members contributed to the successful execution of the event. The initiative encouraged students to learn more about organ donation and recognize its valuable contribution to healthcare and society.
