The Centre for Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship Development (CIIED), in association with the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, organised “From Classroom to Boardroom – An Entrepreneurship Journey” on 19.08.2026 at the II Year Lecture Hall, Aryabhatta Block. The session was delivered by Mr. Kannan Ayyamuthu, Owner of Kannan Flour Mill and Co-Founder of Fresh & Fresh, Tiruppur. He shared his entrepreneurial journey and practical experiences in identifying opportunities, developing business ideas, managing challenges, and building sustainable ventures.
The session provided students with valuable insights into the importance of innovation, problem-solving, leadership, perseverance, risk-taking, and understanding customer needs in entrepreneurship. Students gained practical awareness of how academic knowledge and innovative ideas can be transformed into viable business opportunities. The interaction also motivated students to explore entrepreneurship, start-ups, and self-employment as alternative career pathways.
Overall, the event successfully bridged the gap between classroom learning and real-world entrepreneurial practices.
