The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, in association with the KPR International Centre (KIC), organized a Students Orientation on "Shaping Your Future: Project Selection for Career Excellence" on 28 July 2026 at the EEE Lecture Hall. The session was delivered by Prof. Dr. Saad Mekhilef, Distinguished Professor, Swinburne University, Australia.
The orientation was conducted to guide second-year students in selecting meaningful and career-oriented project domains aligned with emerging technologies, industry requirements, and research trends. Prof. Dr. Saad Mekhilef shared his extensive academic and research experience, emphasizing the importance of choosing innovative projects that address real-world engineering challenges. He discussed emerging areas such as renewable energy systems, electric vehicles, smart grids, artificial intelligence in power systems, and sustainable energy technologies, highlighting their relevance to future careers.
The speaker also provided valuable insights into developing technical competencies, engaging in research activities, publishing quality research papers, and preparing for higher studies at internationally reputed universities.
