The IEEE Power & Energy Society successfully conducted the outreach event “POWER CONNECT” on 15 July 2026 at Government Middle School, Uthuppalayam. The programme was organized with the objective of creating awareness among school students about electricity, renewable energy, energy conservation, and sustainable power systems.
The session included interactive presentations, demonstrations, and engaging discussions designed for students of VI, VII, and VIII standards. The event was coordinated by 7 IEEE PES student members along with the guidance of IEEE PES advisors.
Students actively participated throughout the programme.
Several students eagerly asked questions related to electricity and renewable energy.
Interactive question-and-answer sessions enhanced student engagement.
Students who answered questions correctly were appreciated and provided with pens and chocolates as encouragement.
The activities created enthusiasm and curiosity about sustainable energy technologies among the school students.
