The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, organized an online alumni interaction session titled “Skill Up: Alumni Perspectives on Industry Readiness” on June 24, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
The session began with a welcome address by Dr. N. Saranya, the Head of the Department, who emphasized the importance of alumni interactions in guiding students toward industry readiness and bridging the gap between academic learning and corporate expectations.
The distinguished speaker, Ms. B. Vishnupriyaa, Software Engineer at Capgemini Technology Services India Ltd., Chennai, shared her professional journey and experiences. She highlighted the significance of continuous skill development, adaptability, and the balance between technical expertise and soft skills. She also provided practical insights into interview preparation, workplace culture, and the role of internships and certifications in career progression.
The interactive Q&A session allowed students to clarify their doubts and gain direct guidance from the alumni. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. K. Vishnupriya, Assistant Professor, appreciating the speaker’s valuable contribution, the enthusiastic participation of students, and the support of faculty members in making the session successful.
The initiative was well-received, strengthening alumni-student connections and aligning with the department’s mission of preparing graduates for professional excellence.
