The Physical Education Department organized the KPR Kids Athletic Meet for Boys and Girls – 2026 on 24.05.2026 at the KPR Sports Complex with the objective of promoting physical fitness, sportsmanship, discipline, and healthy competitive spirit among young athletes.
Before the commencement of the athletic events, an Anti-Drug Abuse Awareness Pledge was conducted. All the participants, parents, faculty members, officials, volunteers, and organizers actively participated in the pledge and took awareness about the importance of staying away from drug abuse and promoting a healthy lifestyle among the younger generation.
The event provided an excellent platform for school children to showcase their athletic talents and develop interest in sports activities. The meet was conducted in various age categories for both boys and girls as follows:

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 220 young athletes from various schools. More than 100 parents actively attended and encouraged the participants. Around 25+ internal and external faculty members contributed towards the smooth conduct of the meet.
The athletic meet was successfully organized with the support and coordination of the Physical Education Department, officials, volunteers, and organizing team. The participants demonstrated excellent sportsmanship, dedication, and competitive spirit throughout the events.
The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Dr. Devi Priya R, Principal, KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, and Dr. E. Ranjith Kumar, Head of the Department of Physics and Sports In-charge. The dignitaries felicitated the winners and distributed prizes to the outstanding performers.
