IEEE Field Visit Vasantha Advanced System, KPR Institute Engineering and Technology, Autonomous Engineering Institution, Coimbatore, India

As part of the IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES) Day Celebration, IEEE PES student members and faculty advisors organized a field visit to Vasantha Advanced Systems Private Limited on 20.04.2026 to gain practical exposure to industrial manufacturing processes. During the visit, the participants attended an introductory session about the company’s activities and observed Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) operations, including the manufacturing of solenoid and miniature coils, wiring harness assemblies, and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) assembly for both prototype and bulk production. The industry experts explained coil winding, insulation, testing procedures, cable management, soldering techniques, inspection methods, and quality assurance practices followed in the manufacturing process. The visit helped students understand the real-world applications of electrical and electronics engineering concepts, modern manufacturing technologies, and industrial workflow, thereby enhancing their technical knowledge and professional development.
