Summary

The KPRIET ACM Student Chapter at KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology successfully organized NEXORAA ’26 – Build, Integrate, Launch, a hands-on technical workshop on “Model Serving and Developing Small Projects using LLMs.” The event was conducted on 13 March 2026 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM with the objective of enhancing students’ knowledge in emerging technologies related to Large Language Models (LLMs), model deployment, and AI-driven application development. The workshop was delivered by Dr. Dushyant Behl, Software Research Engineer at IBM, Bengaluru, who shared valuable industry insights and practical approaches to developing AI-based applications.

During the session, the speaker introduced the fundamentals of LLMs, model serving concepts, and the process of building small AI-powered projects using modern tools and frameworks. Participants were guided through practical demonstrations on how LLMs can be integrated into applications for tasks such as text generation, intelligent assistants, and automation. The hands-on component of the workshop enabled students to understand the workflow of developing, integrating, and deploying AI models in real-world scenarios. The speaker also discussed the importance of AI ethics, model efficiency, and scalability in modern software development.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 160 students from various departments, including both ACM members and non-ACM students. The participants actively engaged in interactive discussions, practical demonstrations, and question-and-answer sessions throughout the workshop. Their active involvement contributed to a vibrant learning environment and helped them gain deeper insights into LLM-based application development and real-world AI implementation.

Overall, NEXORAA ’26 was a highly informative and engaging event that provided students with valuable knowledge about LLM-based application development and model deployment techniques. The workshop successfully enhanced the technical competency of the participants and encouraged them to explore research and innovation in Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies. The organizers expressed their sincere gratitude to the resource person for sharing his expertise and to all 160 participants whose active involvement contributed to the success of the event.
