The Road Safety Awareness Program conducted for the drivers proved to be highly impactful and informative. A total of 36 drivers actively participated in the session, which was delivered by Mr. L. Kanaga Subramani, an experienced trainer from TNSTC. Through practical demonstrations, real-life case discussions, and interactive engagement, the participants gained a deeper understanding of safe driving practices and the importance of adhering to traffic regulations.
The program enhanced the drivers’ awareness of defensive driving techniques, vehicle inspection routines, and safe manoeuvring skills, especially under challenging road and weather conditions. They also learned about fatigue management, speed control, and accident prevention strategies, which are essential for ensuring safe transportation within and outside the campus. Many participants expressed that the session improved their confidence and motivated them to adopt responsible driving behaviour.
Overall, the program successfully strengthened the drivers’ commitment to road safety and is expected to contribute to reducing risks, promoting discipline, and ensuring safer mobility for the institution’s stakeholders.
