The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, successfully organized a five-day Short Term Training Program (STTP) on Advancements and Innovations in AI for Healthcare and Medical Imaging Technologies from December 26, 2024, to December 31, 2024, in online mode.The program was effectively led by Dr. J. Indra Prof and Head-C/ECE as the Convenor and coordinated by Ms. S. Suganyadevi, AP-II/ECE.
The STTP aimed to provide insights into the latest advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications in healthcare and medical imaging. The sessions were delivered by renowned experts from reputed industries and academic institutions, focusing on cutting-edge AI techniques, deep learning models, and their practical implementations in medical diagnostics and healthcare automation.The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 72 attendees, including 44 faculty members from various academic institutions and 28 students and research scholars from different institutions.
The STTP covered a wide range of topics related to AI applications in healthcare, providing participants with a comprehensive understanding of the subject. Sessions included discussions on AI-based medical image processing techniques, deep learning for disease diagnosis, AI-powered predictive analytics in healthcare, challenges and future trends in AI-based medical imaging, and case studies highlighting real-world applications. Each session was designed to enhance participants' knowledge and practical insights into AI-driven healthcare solutions.
