Dr. Subramaniyan initiated the session by discussing the increasing prevalence of drug abuse among youth and the critical role that YRC volunteers can play in addressing this issue. He highlighted the importance of awareness, education, and early intervention as key strategies to prevent drug abuse. The session included an in-depth analysis of the physical, mental, and social impacts of drug addiction, along with preventive measures that could be promoted by the volunteers in their outreach programs
