Summary
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and ISTE student chapter of KPRIET organized a workshop on Simulation of Power Converters using MATLAB on 10.09.2022 for the student community. A heartwarming welcome was delivered by Dr.P.Pandiyan, Associate Professor/EEE. Ms. N. Gokul Sri, III EEE-A briefed about the resource person. Prof. S. Vivekanandan, AP(Sl.G), EEE Department, KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore, delivered the lecture emphasis on power conversion topologies that are used in several applications like power supplies and power converters. They will study these through simulation. This workshop emphasizes learning and understanding converter topologies through the aid of MATLAB – Simulink. The lecture starts with a discussion on simulation tools and their installation. MATLAB—Simulink is used to simulate circuit-based and model-based systems. The students gained knowledge on the simulation of power converters. A total of 50 students have benefited. The session was concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the student Mr. S. Logesh, III-EEE A. The EEE department thanks the ISTE student chapter in Coimbatore and KPRIET for providing this opportunity to spark the interest of a young engineer in the field of power converters.
Objectives
