CONCRETE MARATHON 2022, KPR Institute Engineering and Technology, Autonomous Engineering Institution, Coimbatore, India

The technical programme 'Concrete Marathon 22' was organized by the department of Civil Engineering, KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore in view of Concrete day on 07.09.2022. Chief Guest Dr. A. Sudhahar, CEO, Dimensions, President, Indian Concrete Institute -Coimbatore Chapter and Guest of honor our alumni from batch (2010 - 2014)   Mr. R. Gokulakrishnan, MD, VR Designs and Constructions, Coimbatore, inaugurated the programme. The presidential address was delivered by head of the department Dr. G. Anusha, KPRIET. Dr. A. Sudhahar emphasized the importance of modern inventions in concrete and the various mix design guidelines onto the attendees and explained about the activities of ICI to the students. Students cleared their doubts regarding ICI student chapter. He also explained students about the current trends and advancements in concrete materials as on today's technology. Mr. Gokulakrishnan discussed his experience working in the construction industry as well as the significance of the concrete mix for concreting. He is an Managing director of the company VR Designs and Constructions and alumni of our college. He explained students about the entrprenuership in civil engineering feild. 
                 During the event, a variety of activities including technical paper presentations, poster presentations, code cracking, and connections were held. More than 170+ participants from various institutions took part in the event. he external participants actively took part into the events and participated. In the valedictory function, prizes were given out to the winners. The programme was organized by the faculty members Ms. P. Indhiradevi, Ms. K. Dhivya and Mr. S. Vinoth.
