The programme was organized by the Career Advancement Cell in association with Institue Industry Partnership Cell to make the students aware on the Recruitment of Scientific Officer Opportunities for Engineers in Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) through GATE and BARC Online examination.
Mrs.Jalaja Madan Mohan,Head Technical Coordination & Public Awareness Section, Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research, Chennai addressed the students on the various job and higher education opportunities available in the DAE for the GATE 2022 Registered students. Mrs.Jalaja Madan explained the various sources of energy, fundamental concepts of atomic energy, world electricity generation and functions of BARC School. Parthipan K Scientific Officer E, Technical Coordination & Public Awareness Section, Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research, Chennai shown the virtual tour of IGCAR and both were cleared the doubts raised by the students. Total of 10 faculty and 130 students attended the programme.
