The Civil Engineering Association Inauguration, organized by the Department of Civil Engineering at KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, took place on September 14, 2023 at 11.30 am in Raagam Hall. The event aimed to foster a sense of community and collaboration within the civil engineering department, encourage innovation and sustainability, and provide a platform for knowledge exchange. Dr. M. Ramasamy, the Principal of KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, delivered an inspirational presidential address. He emphasized the importance of academic excellence and the role of the Civil Engineering Association in nurturing future leaders in the field.
Ms. Sanjana Vijayakumar, Managing Director of Town and City Developers and KG Group, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Her address focused on the evolving landscape of civil engineering and the need for sustainable and innovative practices. Dr. G. Anusha, Professor & Head, Department of Civil Engineering introduced the student officers and office bearers who will play crucial roles in the department's activities and initiatives. Mr. V.
