The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, proudly inaugurates its Students' Association "Technowatt’26" on 23 July 2026. The association aims to provide a dynamic platform for students to enhance their technical knowledge, leadership qualities, innovation, teamwork, and professional skills through various academic and industry-oriented activities.
The inaugural function will be graced by Er. E. Mohan Kumar, Alumnus (2016–2020 Batch) and Assistant Lead Engineer – Grid Interconnection, Vestas India Pvt. Ltd., Chennai, as the Chief Guest. During the session, he will share his professional journey, industry experiences, and valuable insights into renewable energy, power systems, grid integration, and career opportunities in the electrical engineering domain.
The event also marks the formal launch of the association's activities for the academic year 2026–27, including technical seminars, industrial expert talks, workshops, competitions, hackathons, alumni interactions, industrial visits, and professional development initiatives. Technowatt’26 aspires to bridge the gap between academia and industry while inspiring students to become competent, ethical, and future-ready electrical engineers.
