What is GATE?

India's national-level gateway exam

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a Computer-Based Test covering over 30 subjects. A GATE score stays valid for 3 years β€” with no age limit and no cap on attempts. Eligible for any student in the 3rd year or higher of an undergraduate degree, in any discipline.

Postgraduate Admission

M.E./M.Tech, M.S. (by Research), or a 5-year Integrated Ph.D at IITs, NITs, and other Government-Funded Institutes β€” many with a guaranteed monthly stipend.

PSU Recruitment

Direct entry as a Graduate Engineer Trainee in top Public Sector Undertakings like ISRO, DRDO, BHEL, and NTPC β€” usually without a separate company exam.

Research Fellowships

Fully-funded, 2-year Junior Research Fellow (JRF) positions in CSIR national laboratories β€” extendable or convertible into a Ph.D.
