Event Overview:

The CHUEX sessions, organized by the Student Affairs Department in association with the Centre for Human Excellence, were conducted on four separate dates in April and May 2023. These sessions were designed to promote emotional well-being and equip students with tools and strategies to manage stress effectively. The sessions were led by Clinical Psychologists, Mr. Babu Rangarajan and Mrs. Roja Ramni.

 

Event Schedule:

The sessions were divided into morning sessions, held in the respective classrooms and afternoon one-on-one discussion sessions conducted at the Imperial Hall. The event schedule was as follows:

 

27/04/2023: 1st-year students in AD, AM, BM, and CH programs

04/05/2023: 1st-year students in CE, CSBS, CS-A, and Cs-B programs

11/05/2023: 1st-year students in CS-C, CS-D, EE, and EC-A programs

18/05/2023: 1st-year students in EC-B, IT, MI, and ME programs

Event Outcomes:

 

The CHUEX sessions achieved several notable outcomes:

 

Enhanced Emotional Awareness: The sessions successfully raised awareness among students about the importance of emotional intelligence and understanding their own feelings and emotions.

 

Stress Management Strategies: Students gained practical knowledge and strategies for managing stress and anxiety in their academic and personal lives.

 

Effective Communication Skills: The one-on-one discussions in the afternoon session allowed students to improve their communication skills and address personal concerns in a supportive and confidential environment.
