The programme was organized exclusively organized for the faculty members of Department of Civil Engineering, to give in depth knowledge about the facilities available at our experience engineering centre which will improve their teaching learning practices and enhance the learning curiosity of our students.
Session was mainly focussed on explaining the facilities that are made available at our experience engineering. Mr. S. Yuvaraj, Centre Manager, Experience Engineering explained the details of the various exhibits along with specification and technical data which will be useful for the teaching faculty members to showcase a different innovative teaching learning skill.
Faculty members were segregated into 2 batches to facilitate the complete immersive learning experience one can get in our centre. Technical details were also explained with the models exhibited. Usage of exhibits with latest AR technology were also demonstrated among the faculty members. Complete experience in different domains such as construction materials, concrete batching plant, types of foundations, types of roofing, types of flooring, aggregate production process, stone column concept, formwork and its types, different types of steel products used, different types of concrete, high rise buildings, prestressing concept, segmental bridge construction, wall finishes, usage of BIM technology were elaborated to all faculty members of the department.
This session enhanced the knowledge of facilities available readily for the core engineering disciplines among faculty members and class handling. Resource person also clarified the doubts raised by the faculty team and interacted with them in collaboration zone. Totally 22 faculty members and 6 supporting staff attended and were benefitted from the programme.
