The Department of Civil Engineering, in collaboration with the ASCE KPRIET Students chapter, organized a National Level Student Symposium (India Section) via Zoom on March 28 and 29 at KPRIET. The symposium aimed to provide a platform for students to showcase their skills and knowledge in various competitions. The symposium consisted of several exciting competitions, including: Business Meeting, Paper Presentation, Sustainable Solution Contest, Innovation Contest. In the paper presentation competition, students would have been given the opportunity to present their research papers on topics related to civil engineering. They may have discussed their findings, methodologies, and innovative approaches in front of a panel of judges and fellow participants. The Sustainable Solution competition likely focused on promoting sustainable practices in the field of civil engineering. Participants might have been tasked with developing and presenting innovative solutions that address environmental concerns, energy efficiency, or resource conservation in infrastructure development. The Innovation Contest competition would have encouraged students to showcase their creativity and problem-solving skills. Participants might have been asked to propose novel ideas or technologies that could revolutionize the field of civil engineering and contribute to advancements in construction techniques, materials, or infrastructure design. By organizing these competitions, the symposium aimed to foster a spirit of innovation, collaboration, and academic excellence among civil engineering students. It provided a platform for participants to network, exchange ideas, and learn from industry experts. The virtual format via Zoom allowed students from various institutions across India to participate and engage in the event. Totally 49 participants actively took part into the symposium and the winners were rewarded.
