Summary
The department of Biomedical Engineering is organizing a seminar on "Mechanics of Joints" by Mr. B. B. Mohanthy at 2 PM on 27.03.2023 in the venue (III BME). Dr.D.Ganeshkumar, Professor & Head, Department of Biomedical Engineering gave the welcome address. Ms.Ridana sri, 3rd year BME student has given Introduction to chief Guest. Mr. B.B. Mohanty had explained abiut the knee joint anatomy.

He had explained the difference between prosthesis and Orthesis. He had explained the concepts of Bogling and hamstraing. The seminar further clarified about Joints in the human body and a detailed explanation about knee joints. It started with an interaction with the students. The seminar was about Joints in the human body and a detailed explanation about joints mechanism. It started with an interaction with the students. The physiology of knee joints was taught. The mechanism of articulation of knee joints was clearly explained with a presentation. The concept of ligaments and cartilages was given to the students through the seminar. Students were able to follow the concepts under movements of joints and queries were answered by the chief guests. Students learned about giat cycle and the guest lecture from a person with experience in the field was very useful for the students. Students working on rehabilitation engineering, prothesis and lower extremities clarified their doubts regarding the projects and found very useful.
