Summary
Department of English in association with English Language Teachers' Association of India (ELT@I) organised a webinar titled "Presentation Skills" on 8th February 2023 for the first year students of KPRIET. The webinar was conducted with 64 students and Dr. Suganya V., School of Humanities and Management, NIT - Andhra Pradesh was the resource person of the webinar who focused on enhancing the students' presentation skills. The students learned about the importance of having strong presentation skills, as they play a crucial role in both personal and professional life.
The resource person has started the lecture by deliberating types of communication and importance of communication then delved deep into the presentation skills. The outcome of the program was that the students gained a deeper understanding of the key components of effective presentations, such as planning, preparation, delivery, and evaluation. They were also able to identify areas where they can improve and received practical tips and techniques for overcoming common challenges.
The students were highly engaged throughout the webinar, actively participating in discussions and interactive exercises. They provided positive feedback and expressed their satisfaction with the program. The instructors were knowledgeable, energetic, and well-prepared, creating a supportive and enjoyable learning environment. Overall, the webinar was a great success and helped to build the students' confidence in their presentation skills. The knowledge and skills gained will undoubtedly serve them well in their future endeavors.
