The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized an expert session on “How to Crack Indian Engineering Services – Plan. Practice. Prevail.” to enlighten aspiring students about the strategies and approaches essential for excelling in the prestigious Indian Engineering Services (IES) examination.
The session was delivered by Ms. Vandana Singhal, an eminent professional with vast experience at the Central Electricity Authority, New Delhi. She provided a comprehensive overview of the IES examination structure, highlighting the importance of a systematic study plan, conceptual clarity, and consistency in preparation. She emphasized focusing on core engineering subjects, effective time management, and regular practice through mock tests and previous year papers.
Ms. Singhal also shared valuable insights on the interview process, communication skills, and the professional responsibilities of IES officers in nation-building. Students interacted enthusiastically, seeking guidance on preparation strategies, resource materials, and balancing technical and general studies.
