Event Report

The Department of Chemical Engineering organized a Panel Discussion on “The Future Engineer: Skills Beyond the Classroom” on 15th September 2025 as part of the Engineers Day Celebration. The panel discussion brought together student panelists from different years of study to share their perspectives on the essential skills required for engineers to thrive in the modern world.

The panelists included Mr. Abinesh Shegal P H (II CH), Mr. Hithesh (III CH), and Ms. Bellisima Dunstan Chatumba (III CH), while the session was moderated by Ms. Harsha Varshini (IV CH). The panelists deliberated on the importance of technical expertise, problem-solving, communication skills, adaptability, teamwork, leadership, and innovation in shaping the future engineer. They also emphasized how extracurricular activities, internships, and global exposure contribute to overall professional development beyond classroom learning.
