The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering successfully conducted an expert lecture titled "Industrial Insights on Motors and Transformers" on 30th November 2024 at Ragaam Hall, exclusively for first-year students. The session aimed to bridge academic concepts with real-world industrial practices, focusing on the operating principles, characteristics, and industrial applications of motors and transformers.

    • Designation: Head - Quality Assurance, CRI Pumps - Ransar Industries-I, Coimbatore

    • Talk Focus: Functioning, types, and applications of various motors and transformers.

  2. Mr. D. Sureshkumar

    • Designation: HR Manager, CRI Pumps - Ransar Industries-I, Coimbatore

    • Talk Focus: Recent trends in pump technology and its industrial applications.

  • Totally 120 first-year EEE students and 5 faculty members attended the lecture

Program Overview

The session began with a warm welcome address and introduction of the resource persons by Mrs. B. Lalitha, Assistant Professor (Sl.G), EEE. The resource persons provided valuable insights into:

  • Core operating principles and characteristics of motors and transformers.

  • Practical industrial applications of these electrical machines.

  • Emerging trends in pump technology and their integration with modern motors.

The interactive session fostered engagement and deepened the students' understanding of the subject matter.

The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Dr. C. Pazhanimuthu, Assistant Professor (Sl.G), EEE, appreciating the resource persons' contributions and the participants' enthusiastic involvement.
