Department of Civil Engineering in association with National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research, Chennai organized Professional Development Programme on "Sustainable Smart city development using GIS" from 19.08.2024 to 23.08.2024 at CARE Studio, KPRIET. Participants from Self financing, Govt aided and industries registered for the programme and were benefitted from the programme.
Morning sessions were planned to conducted as theoretical sessions and afternoon sessions were planned as hands on training on GIS softwares where participants were exposed to several maps and plotting the same using the knowledge gained.
Participants found the training programme to be very interesting as it had different case studies explanation which included the GIS mapping for the landslide mitigation. Resource persons Prof. Dr. Suresh and Er. Ezhil handled the sessions throughout all the days and made it very interactive and informative for the participants.
