The IEEE Computer Society of KPRIET organized a hands-on workshop titled 'Version Control [GIT & GITHUB]' on August 10, 2024. The workshop was designed to provide participants with practical knowledge and skills in version control systems, particularly focusing on Git and GitHub. The event was held from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM in the HPC Lab, featuring Mr. Dhanush T P as the resource person.The session commenced with Mr. Dhanush T P providing an overview of version control systems and their importance in modern software development. He introduced the basics of Git, a distributed version control system, and demonstrated how it can be used to manage and track changes in code effectively.• Interactive Hands-On Experience: The workshop emphasized hands-on practice, where participants were encouraged to perform Git commands and use GitHub for version control tasks. This practical approach ensured that attendees gained confidence in using these tools in their own projects.The workshop attracted 50 enthusiastic participants who actively engaged in the hands-on activities. The interactive format allowed participants to ask questions and receive immediate feedback from the speaker. The practical exercises and real-time problem-solving enhanced the learning experience. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to Mr. Dhanush T P for his comprehensive and practical presentation, and to the participants for their active involvement.
