Summary

On the 16th of May 2024, KPRIET hosted a significant event dedicated to promoting the

mental well-being of its students. This event was a collaborative effort between the

Student Affairs Office and the Anti-Ragging Cell of KPRIET. The primary objective of

this gathering was to provide insights and strategies on how to navigate peer

interactions with a positive mindset.

The master of ceremonies for this event was Ms. Kanimuthu AR M, a first-year student

in the CSE department. The event commenced with the rendition of the Tamil Thai

Vazhthu, followed by a welcoming address from Dr. Sreelatha/Professor/Convenor of the

Anti-Ragging Cell. Mr. Babu Rangarajan, a distinguished clinical psychologist from

KPRIET, graced the occasion as the special guest and delivered an enlightening

lecture.

Mr. Rangarajan captivated the audience with his engaging demeanor and words of

wisdom. He emphasized the importance of utilizing the strategy of 'IGNORE'; when

dealing with toxic individuals and encouraged attendees to swiftly dismiss negative

influences. Furthermore, he advised individuals to let go of hurtful words within 10

minutes to shield themselves from self-inflicted anguish. Attendees actively participated

by seeking clarification on various topics from Mr. Rangarajan, fostering a dynamic and

informative session.

The gratitude was expressed on behalf of the institutions by Dr. Subramanian@raja,

Assistant professor(Sl.G), Department of Physics, by delivering the vote of thanks.

Finally, the event ended successfully with the National Anthem.
