Outcome
Summary

Awareness Session: Mr. P. Ramesh, Forest Range Officer from Sirumugai Social Forestry Range, Coimbatore, and his team conducted an informative session on the importance of forest conservation and sustainable resource management. They highlighted the role of forests in maintaining ecological balance, biodiversity, and mitigating climate change. Tree Plantation: As a practical demonstration of their commitment to conservation, participants engaged in a tree plantation drive. This hands-on activity aimed to instill a sense of responsibility towards environmental stewardship among attendees. Interaction: The event provided an opportunity for students and faculty members to interact with Mr. P. Ramesh and his team, facilitating discussions on various environmental issues, conservation strategies, and the role of individuals in preserving natural resources.

The collaborative effort between KPRIET-NSS Cell, Department of Chemistry, Tamil Nadu Forest Department (Coimbatore Division), and Sirumugai Social Forestry Range proved to be instrumental in organizing a successful awareness program on conservation. The event served as a platform for education, engagement, and collective action towards safeguarding our planet's precious resources for future generations.

Building on the success of this event, it is recommended to continue organizing similar awareness programs, workshops, and tree plantation drives to sustain momentum in environmental conservation efforts. Strengthening partnerships with local authorities, NGOs, and educational institutions can further enhance the impact of such initiatives and contribute to building a greener and more sustainable future.
