Library advisory committee of KPRIET is organizing a session on ''A session on Deep work- Focus Uplift' for first year CSE students in their library hour from 1.30 to 2.30 at Library first floor. The conveners for the event are Dr V Seethalakshmi, Head LAC and Dr S Meena, Member LAC. 'Deep work' refers to the concept introduced by author and professor Cal Newport in his book 'Deep Work: Rules for Focused Success in a Distracted World.' Deep work involves engaging in activities that require intense focus and concentration, typically without distractions. The goal is to produce high-quality work in less time.
The term 'focus uplift' is not a widely recognized term, but it seems to suggest an improvement or enhancement in focus resulting from a deep work session. If someone mentions a 'focus uplift' outcome of a deep work session, they may be referring to the positive impact on their ability to concentrate, stay engaged, and produce meaningful work as a result of dedicating focused time to a specific task. Totally 63 students attended the session and students enjoyed the session.
