The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering & Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore jointly organized DST- Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) sponsored two-day National Level Technical Seminar on the “Role of Artificial Intelligence in Renewable Energy Systems and Electric Vehicles” (RAIREE’23) during 5th and 6th October 2023. The event started with registration from the various engineering colleges. A total of 84 participants are registered for the event and participated. Dr.A.C. Sumathi Head-AI &DS welcomed the gathering. Dr.K.Mohanasundaram Head-EEE, discussed the theme of the seminar. Dr. M Ramasamy, Principal, Presented the special address and felicitated the chief guest Dr. Ashok Kumar L Professor of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore. Dr. Ashok kumar presented the inaugral address of the seminar. The session started with the Dr. Ashok Kumar L Professor Implications of AI in Electric Vehicles. Followed by the Dr . Karthick Alagar Associate Professor-EEE delivered the talk on Energy forecasting of Building integrated Photovoltaic system. Dr. Sankar Ganesh S, Associate Professor-AI&DS, delivered talk on AI based Renewable Energy Forecasting using Python. Mrs. Sivasankari T P, Founder, AR4 TECH, Coimbatore delivered “Electric Vehicles Conversion System”. Day 2 starts with Dr. Saroja S, Assistant Professor Department of Computer Application National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli delivered talk on EV charging station location selection using AI. The Lab visit to KPRIET - L&T Experience Engineering, Centre of Excellence for Electric and Hybrid Vehicles is coordinated by Mr. Yuvaraj S, Assistant Professor (Sr. G.)-CE and Dr. Arpit Anil Panwar, Assistant Professor (Sr. G.)-MI respectively.
