The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, in association with the National Federation of Engineers (NFE), an MoU partner of the institution, is organizing an Electrical Safety Awareness Program to enhance awareness of safe electrical practices among students. The program aims to provide practical knowledge on electrical hazards, safe handling of electrical equipment, accident prevention, and emergency response procedures in industrial and domestic environments.
The session will be delivered by industry experts from NFE, who will share real-time case studies, best safety practices, relevant standards, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements. Participants will gain insights into electrical risk assessment, lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, shock prevention, fire safety, and safe maintenance practices.
This industry-interactive program is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industrial safety requirements, enabling students to develop a strong safety culture and prepare themselves for professional engineering practice.
