Summary
The Value Added Course on ToT with RaspberryPi was conducted by Dr.M.Kalamani, Dr.R.Jaikumar and Mrs.S.Priyadharsini during 27th March to 30th March 2023 from 8.45Am to 4.15PM.
Along with coordinators Dr.M.Kalamani, Dr.R.Jaikumar and Mrs.S.Priyadharsini , Dr.R.Arun Sekar and Mr.K.Saravanan has handled the sessions with hands on training in RaspberryPi with available basic sensors.
Overview on Raspberry Pi 3 B model and its pin descriptions provided in the introduction session. OS installation steps are explained in details and provided time to learn and install raspberry Pi OS in the given SD card . Explained in detail about all the front panels and control panel available in Pi.
Followed by hands on sessions in all basic sensor module interfacing such as LED blinking, DHT 11 sensor, IR and PIR sensor, Ultrosonic sensor, Relays and switches with Pi and provided the hands on session for using think speak cloud with Pi. Students are asked to develop simple program and control through cloud
Finally, accessing of Raspberry Pi Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and MQTT protocols used for home automation and industrial applications are demonstrated with hands on training.
Students are asked to practice hands on session in all the basic sensors and identify the simple projects using raspberry pi.
Project based Assessment is given in the area of home automation and industrial applications using raspberry pi. Students asked to use the knowledge acquiring from the sessions and to develop the prototype using available sensors and embedded controllers. Team project and marks to be awarded based on their involvement.
