Summary
The Annual meeting of the Anti-Ragging cell was conducted on 24.03.2023 (Friday) in the Legend hall at 10.30 AM to brief about the Anti-Ragging cell activities. The meeting started with the Tamil Thai Valthu. Dr.J.Charly Jerome, Co-Convener – ARC welcomed the guest of honour Mrs. A. Latha Sundaram, Trustee, Aram Foundations, Mr. T.K.Marimuthu, Inspector of police, Sulur,   (Due to emergency work Mr. R. Madhayan not attending in the meeting), Mr. P. Asokan, VAO, Arasur. Dr. P. Suriyakumar presented the activities of the Anti-Ragging cell and to ensure that fluxes and posters related to anti-ragging  is already displayed in various noticeable places like hostel, canteen, Academic block, class room block, library etc.  Dr.J.Charly Jerome  highlighted the roles and responsibilities of the Squad members.  Mrs. A. Latha Sundaram, Trustee, Aram Foundations insisted that students should share their problems with parents or faculty to get appropriated solutions. She enlightened the students about the preventive measures to be safe from the social problems. Mr. T.K.Marimuthu, Inspector of Police, Sulur shared various real time scenarios on ragging and drugs usage. Mr.P. Asokan, VAO , Arasur motivated students to have a cordial and brotherly relationship amidst students to have a happy college life. Mr. T. Sivakumar, parent of Amruthavarshini(III ECE A), appreciated about our college is ragging free campus and very friendly environment in the campus. The students cleared their doubts regarding their social and emotional conflicts. Ms.Priyanka(III Chemical), Representative of students delivered the vote of thanks. The meeting concluded with the National Anthem. About 4 faculties and 20 students across the departments attended the session.
