WORKSHOP ON WEB 3.0, KPR Institute Engineering and Technology, Autonomous Engineering Institution, Coimbatore, India

On the 17th of February 2023, a One-Day Workshop on WEB 3.0 was organised by  Fiestaa 23,Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science and facilitated by Dr.A.C.Sumathi Head/AD and Coordinated by Dr.V.Vignesh Association Incharge coordinated the workshop for the students and faculties of KPRIET and other participants from other institutions. Mr.Karthick Prasad from Third year, Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science  were the resource persons for this workshop.
 Web3 is heralded as the beginning of a global ownership economy. In the course of its evolution, it is expected to be more democratized and decentralized, run as it is on blockchains. India has nurtured a rich community of developers and home-grown companies in the Web3 realm, many of which have drawn overseas investments for developing new digital products and platforms. It is estimated that over 60,000 new Web3 developers made their advent in India during 2022. Indeed, Web3 is expected to promote the development of a new generation of digital enterprises and digital ecosystems like the metaverse. This will also promote the growth of digital goods and assets that accelerate the quality and quantum of tangible public goods connected to the delivery of education, health and natural resources.
The students showed keen interest in the workshop and have gained a hands-on experience in the topics of WEB 3.0.
Overall 75 students participated from different departments and from different institutions. This workshop was a good learning experience for the participants. They had the opportunity to familiarize themselves to AI using R programming language whilst also having the opportunity to interact with the resource person. The workshop coordinator was Mr.Prasath Assistant Professor and was assisted by Ms.Swetha from III AD. The workshop convener was Dr.V.Vignesh, Asso.Prof. cum Association Incharge.
