Summary
Continuing Education Program (CEP), KPRIET has organized a Hands-on Workshop with Mr. C.H. Ravindar Reddy, Senior Application Engineer as Resource Person on 3rd February 2023. The workshop fee of Rs.300/- was collected. Fifty-five participants attended the workshop. The Resource Person has engaged in the session for the whole day. The Speaker has given an introduction to MATLAB to the Participants. He demonstrated the software and the Participants worked with the software using the Institution's Laboratory Systems. The session was very interactive and the Participants gained knowledge through Hands-on training with the guidance of a Resource person. After the forenoon break, the session started with the Image processing toolbox Introduction. The Speaker has introduced an Image processing toolbox, which is one of the processing toolboxes in MATLAB. The participants learned to work in Image segmentation, Pre-processing, and filtering the data. The participants had worked with Image data and understood how to process the Image for analyzing the data. After lunch, the Resource person explained the Computer Vision technology. Computer vision is a field of artificial intelligence (AI) that enables computers and systems to derive meaningful information from digital images, videos, and other visual inputs. Computer vision is used to detect and classify objects (e.g., road signs or traffic lights), create 3D maps or motion estimation, and played a key role in making autonomous vehicles a reality. Self-driving cars collect data on their surroundings from sensors and cameras, interpret it, and respond accordingly. The Participants had learned with Computer Vision basics and worked with basic tasks in Computer vision. The Speaker then distributed Certificates to the Participants. At the end of the session, the Convener of the Workshop thanked the Speaker and the participants.
