The Department of Biomedical Engineering in KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore-641407, Tamil Nadu has organized a guest lecture on “Automated System to Classify Normal and Depression EEG Signals” through Professional Society for II, III and IV BME students on 22.11.2023. The resource person is Dr. G. Muralidhar Bairy, Secretary BMESI, Professor & HOD, Department of Biomedical Engineering, MIT, Manipal, Karnataka.
The event was hosted by KPRIET-BMESI student members at Thanam Hall. Ms. G. V. Aishwarya, II BME welcome the gatherings. Then the event started with Tamilthai Vazhthu and KPR Anthem. Followed by Honouring the Chief Guest with Memento and a presidential address given by Dr. M. Ramasamy, Principal, KPRIET. Then welcome address given by Dr. D. Ganeshkumar, HOD/BME, KPRIET. After that, Dr. S. Logesh Kumar AP (Sl.G)/BME and BMESI Coordinator announcement of Prize Winners of BME students during July-November 2023. Ms. V Karthi Srinithi, II BME give Chief Guest Introduction. Later our chief guest of the event Dr. G. Muralidhar Bairy, Professor and Head, MIT and Secreatary (BMESI) taken the session on “Automated System to Classify Normal and Depression EEG signals”.
The event was fully informative and knowledge gaining session. It helped the participants & audience to increasing the knowledge about technical things and some innovative ideas on EEG signal classifications. Ms. R. K. Harshavardhini, II BME delivered Vote of Thanks and the session ended with National Anthem.
