The Annual meeting of the Anti-Ragging cell was conducted on 10.11.2023 (Friday) in the Career Advancement Cell at 12.00 PM to brief about the Anti-Ragging cell activities. The meeting started with the Tamil Thai Valthu. Dr.A.K.Priya, Co-Convener – ARC welcomed the guest of honour Ms. Latha Sundaram, Social worker, Coimbatore, Mr. G.Sivagiri, Sub-Inspector of police, Sulur, (Due to emergency work Mr. R. Madhayan not attending in the meeting. Principal Dr. M. Ramasamy presented the Presidential Address regarding the Anti-Ragging Cell. Dr. P. Sreelatha outlined the initiatives undertaken by the Anti-Ragging cell, emphasizing the presence of informative materials such as flyers and posters across prominent locations such as hostels, canteens, academic blocks, classrooms, and the library. Additionally, she underscored the roles and responsibilities of the Squad members. Ms. Latha Sundaram, Social Worker, Coimbatore insisted that students should share their problems with parents or faculty to get appropriated solutions. She enlightened the students about the preventive measures to be safe from the social problems. Mr. G.Sivagiri, Sub-Inspector of Police, Sulur shared various real time scenarios on ragging and drugs usage. The students cleared their doubts regarding their social and emotional conflicts. Dr.J.Suryakanth, Student Affairs delivered the vote of thanks. The meeting concluded with the National Anthem. About 7 faculties and 37 students across the departments attended the session.
