Quantum Computing is in naucent stage and experiencing exponential growth since 2019. The aim of the workshop is to provide introduction to Quantum Computing using IBM Qiskit. This tool help to understand the potential of Quantum Computing in real world applications. Quantum Computer can solve certain class of problems in a reasonable polynomial time which is not possible in a digital computer. Currently IBM, Google, AWS, Microsoft, Rigetti, IonQ and many organisations are building commercial quantum computers for their clients. UGC is urging Higher Education Institutes (HEI) to promote Quantum Computing education and awareness. Government of India allocated INR 6000 Crores for National Quantum Mission. Considering these facts, Quantum Computing will be a great career choice in the upcoming years.
