The Student Affairs Department organized a thrilling sporting extravaganza, the Student Premier League Session 2, featuring cricket matches that took place on September 29th and 30th, 2023, at our esteemed sports complex. This event aimed to promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy competition among our student body.The success of this event can be attributed to the dedication and vision of the key figures in the Students Affairs Department, Dr. P. Ravikumar, the Head of Students Affairs, and Dr. J. Suryakanth, the Director of Students Affairs. Their tireless efforts in planning and execution made this event a grand success.In total, an impressive 34 teams enthusiastically registered for this cricket extravaganza, showcasing the immense enthusiasm and talent among our student community.The Highlights of the Event:Competition Dates: The cricket matches were spread across two exciting days, September 29th and 30th, 2023. These days were filled with thrilling moments and unforgettable cricketing action.Toss by the Principal: The event commenced with our esteemed Principal having the honor of tossing the coin to determine which team would bat and bowl first in the opening match.Prize Distribution: The climax of the event was the prize distribution ceremony. The Principal presented the awards with great pride and enthusiasm. The prizes were awarded as follows:First Prize: The coveted first prize was clinched by the 4th Year Mechanical department, showcasing their exceptional cricketing skills and teamwork.Runners-up: The runners-up were celebrated for their outstanding performance and sportsmanship.Man of the Match: Individual brilliance was also recognized as the Man of the Match received a special award for their exceptional contributions to the game.This Student Premier League session 2 was not just about cricket; it was about fostering a spirit of camaraderie, sportsmanship, and unity among our students.
